General information:

The class H-45 and H-45A comprised a total of 415 ACF 3-bay 4600 cu. ft. centerflow covered hoppers purchased in 1965. They were delivered in the final PRR scheme. That is, light gray with black lettering, plain keystone and large "PRR" over the road number. The cars rode on 100-ton roller-bearing trucks with 36" wheelsets. They were delivered as follows:

Class H-45A (with lining for foodstuffs)
- 260706 - 260725 delivered Apr 1965 with 3 continuous hatches & gravity/pneumatic outlets (20 cars)
- 260726 - 260775 delivered Jul 1965 with 3 elongated hatches & gravity/pneumatic outlets (50 cars)
Class H-45 (unlined)
- 260776 - 260870 delivered Jul 1965 with 3 elongated hatches & Enterprise gravity outlets (95 cars)
- 259751 - 259800 delivered Oct 1965 with 3 continuous hatches & Enterprise gravity outlets (50 cars)
- 259801 - 260000 delivered Nov 1965 with 3 elongated hatches & Keystone gravity outlets (200 cars)
